Summary: The goal of this one-day workshop is to give an overview of the issues involved in achieving economically sustainable forest bioenergy supply chains from regional to international scales. The workshop will consist of presentations given by members of COST Action FP0902 and IEA Bioenergy Task 43 thereby covering a wide range of topics with different viewpoints. Furthermore, the workshop aims to introduce different methodologies to evaluate economic performance and costs of forest fuel supply chains. Finally, as multidisciplinary efforts to mobilize sustainable forest fuel supply chains are becoming increasingly important recent efforts in that field are also presented.
